GIVING FRONTLINE WORKERS THE SKILLS NEEDED TO COMPASSIONATELY WORK WITH THOSE SUFFERING FROM TRAUMA, ADDICTION AND MORE
Ian brings his years of trauma and addictions experience and extensive education to the classroom through the various training courses and workshops he offers. Over the past decade, he has brought these training courses and workshops to numerous community organizations, universities, hospitals and community organizations across Ontario.
These programs are suited for frontline workers dealing with vulnerable populations, such as healthcare workers, mental health workers, nurses, clergy, social workers and residential workers.
These programs will help these frontline workers better understand the root causes of the trauma and addiction their clientele are facing in their lives. They will also understand the strategies used by psychotherapists to help those suffering from traumatic experiences, such as Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Countertransference.
